Leaving nothing behind but memories, Tessa starts her journey from New York to London of the 19th century… to go live with her brother. But Nate's imprisoned, to save him, Tessa has to learn about a world she didn't know existed - and how to change her shape. Because that's an invaluable gift some Magister needs desperately. But Tessa would rather die than help a madman!

The institute itself is collapsing, while Jem’s illness gets worse, Will becomes more and more unstable… Tessa has her heart broken in all ways possible and looks for Jem to fix it. And while they find out more about Mortmain’s motivation, he gets his final pieces into play.

The institute is a lunacy. The upcoming wedding will break both the best man’s and the bride’s hearts, while the groom is closer to death than anyone anticipated. The only one who can save Jem is Mortmain - but the price would be Tessa... and the creation of an army immune to all Shadowhunter weapons.

Gwendolyn’s family’s not exactly what you’d call normal: But waking up in another time is something that rattles even ghost-seeing Gwenny. Forced in a world she doesn’t want to be in, Gwen has to understand the politics of an organisation for time travellers, learn how to fight, dance and talk properly and guard her heart against the other time traveller, Gideon. And she’s likely about to fail in all categories…

Lessons in time travel are so much worse than the actual jumping. If it was just her teachers making it more complicated than it has to be, she’d be fine. But no, Charlotte has to be involved as well… and still no one’s telling her about the big Secret. And then, there’s this business with Gideon, the guy she wants to trust but shouldn’t… and the ghost gargoyle hunting her steps, Gideon’s brother… And then, there’s Lucy and Paul. The previous, criminal time traveller couple who has lots of secrets… Secrets Gwenny’s about to stumble over.

Women in love are the easiest to control. But Gwenny doesn't have time to cry for a broken heart: there is no time for crying. Her grandfather found out about what Lucy and Paul wanted to tell her, St Germain has mysterious plans with the Ruby... and when Gwenny finally finds what she needs, Charlotte turns on her. With the help of her siblings, auntie Maddie, Lesley, her butler, Raphael and Xemerius, she finds out about the secret behind the secret... and that it will cost her more than she can bear to pay.

Emerson is small, funny, a little shy and insane – or rather, a time traveller, as her new therapist Michael tells her. Together, the two of them form a whole, capable of visiting every moment that ever has and ever will happen. Any questions? Em has a few - like if Michael wants the rest of her happy-pills, since he obviously needs them more than she does. But unfortunately, he's right. And while a psychopath wants to use her to change his past, Michael himself needs her help to a murder that's already happened. But everything has its price…

Kaleb Ballard knows something's wrong when he begins to see dead people. But he has no idea how bad the situation really is, until the ultimatum from the Power Holders. Either, he finds the Infinityglass that might not even exist and heal the rip in time, or everyone he loves will die. Good thing he isn’t alone in this… though Em’s best friend Lily makes his life even more complicated.

The Infinityglass - the mysterious magical artefact that’s Dune’s passion and  the only way to close the rip in time – isn't an object, after all. But a person. Who has to be protected from the timeless that want to consume her… And Teague and Landers, who have a lot in stock for her...

Della's life isn't any easier as Kylie's: Della’s stalked by a ghost - which should be impossible - and she’s getting ill. Which is actually impossible as well. And then there’s Chase. The new, super-annoying/sexy vampire with more secrets than is possibly good for him. Who won’t stay away from Della. And her disease gets worse…

Della's life was a mess before, but now it is simply hell. Not only is she bonded for eternity to the sexy but remarkably annoying Chase, no, her Dad happens to be the only suspected murderer for the death of her aunt. And she has another ghost… who wants her to find two vampires, locked up with no food. Why doesn't Chase answer her questions about the Vampire Council? Della has a package of questions. But will she ever find the answers?

When her dad is accused of murder – because of her – Della is desperate. Especially because the only other suspect  is proclaimed dead – her father's twin, a vampire. Della doesn't want to trust Chase anymore, but she doesn't have a choice – because no matter what he has done, she loves him. And when her family abandons her, she hasn't that many people left.

BotMA January and February 2017 go to...

A Court of Thorns and Roses  and A Court of Mist and Fury by Sarah J. Maas.

I was breaking my head trying to find an alternative, to be honest. Because I didn't want to give two BotMAs directly after another to books of the same series. But this series made an impact on me like I've never experienced. Feyre, Rhys and Tamlin kept me up at night, psychologically analyzing... and making me doubt a lot about my life. As a matter of fact, I threw my entire plan for my life out of my window and started to work for what I actually wanted to do - because I finally realised how much I lied to myself in the last half year. Franklly I've been through some shit and finally started to admit it. Heal.

I hinted in my reviews that Feyre (and Rhys) are inspiring like hell. I believe that - more importantly, I feel that. I guess I finally started to truly grow up, and Feyre has had a lot to do with it. I hope that I'll manage to be even have as strong, courageous and honest as her, as consequent, intelligent and persistent as Rhysand or as kind heartedly, humerous and loving as Mor.

The BotMA is a mixture of "have to do" and lots of heart blood for me. Sometimes I do it just because I feel I have to. This time it's really because there's no other books that would have deserved it.

Immortals After Dark 3-15!

Sorry for my long absence! I had my first phase of exams and was busy... and then ill. And then... Oh, you know how this goes. There's always stuff to do and some stuff falls under the table. But I was also busy: I read and reviewed the next 12 Immortals After Dark books by Kresley Cole! So, i hope you forgive me...

Here it goes:

Kaderin the Coldhearted, Talisman’s Hie champion, Vlkyrie assassin & Sebastian Wroth, knight of arcane orders, vampire

Kaderin the Cold, the unfeeling, vampire hunting Valkyrie, will do everything in her power to win the goddesses race and find a way to change the past. Even kill the one person who makes her feel again - especially because he's a vampire.... Right?

Bowen Graeme MacRieve, Third in Line for the Lykae throne & Mariketa the Awaited, Mercenary of the Wiccae, Future Leader of the House of Witches

Bowen's only chance of getting his mate back from the dead was stolen right from under his nose - and now he's cursed by that stupid witch!. But Nucking Futs Nïx’s prophecy’s still on, he will get his mate back... Meanwhile, Mariketa the Awaited is over-the-top annoyed by everyone waiting for her to finally, well, be powerful. Because Mariketa was Awaited, indeed.

- Conrad Wroth & Néomi Laress, prima ballerina, former femme fatale and burlesque dancer

Néomi is dead. Literally. And happens to be the only one who can reach the blood-red-eyed, crazy vampire locked in her house... to heal him, she has to become human. Through his contacts, she might have a chance to fulfil her heart's desire. But the price she pays might just be too high...

Cadeon Woede, Mercenary second in line to the throne of the rage demons, a.k.a Cade the Kingmaker & Holly Ashwin, Tulane math instructor, PhD candidate with emphasis on formal and computional cryptography

Cadeon Woede has to make loosing his brother's crown. But the only way to do that would be to sacrifice the Vessel, giving her to most evil man possible... which would leave to more evilness spreading. But even worse? This Ascension's Vessel has to be the controlling, math geeking, and impossibly lovely woman he knows is his own. But when Rydstorm's abducted, he might not have a choice...

Sabine of the Sorceri, Queen of Illusions, annointed princess of Rothkalina & Rydstorm Woede, fallen king of Rothkalina

Rydstorm Woede finally – finally – found a way to kill the oppressor of his people. But then, he’s abducted by his fated female. And who happens to want to still his crown – for Ormont. And bear his child, to sacrifice it in the Well of Souls. Needless to say, this situation is not ideal. But there’s a lot more to the Queen of Illusions than meets the eye… Sabine's real plan has not yet been revealed.

Daniela the Ice Maiden, Valkyrie and Rightful Queen of the Icere, the Fey of the frozen North & Murdoch Wroth, former human warlord, today vampire soldier

Daniela's cursed twice: she can't be touched by non-ice fey... and the ice fey happen to want her death. Being a vampire's Bride might actually be a good thing... But Murdoch Wroth has no inclination of accepting her as his.

- Lucia the Huntress, Valkyrie of mysterious origin, world’s most skilled archeress & Garreth MacRieve, King of all Lykae

If Lucia doesn't kill the god of human sacrifice, she'll be his appeasement... but the only way she can stop him is through her mystical Archer powers. Which she might just loose through the determined Lykae on her tracks.

Carrow Graie, a.k.a. Carrow the Incarcerated, mercenary of the Wiccae, practitioner of love spells & Malcome Slaine leader of the Trothan rebellion

Captured by a mysterious human elite force eager to study – per vivisection – and eliminate Loreans, Carrow has two choices: Either she and her new adoptive daughter Ruby are killed. Or she’ll concede to go to the hell plane and find and capture Malcom Slaine, one of the mysterious, terribly powerful vampire-demons. Who might be the only person who ever really loved her.

Regin the Radiant, Valkyrie, prankster, modern-day swordswoman & Declan Chase, magister of the Order

Centuries ago, the one fated male for Regin the Radiant was assassinated and reborn – and assassinated again. Regin and Aiden are cursed. This time, she vowed to never approach him. But when his newest incarnation captures her and her friends for torture and death, she has no choice. Unfortunately, Declan Chase’s just as evil as she thinks. But he is with good reason.

- Lothaire Konstantin Daciano, The Enemy of Old & Saroya, sacred protectress of vampires, goddess of divine death & Elizabeth “Ellie” Peirce, Expert in boys, reverse psychology and law-enforcement evasion

Lothaire's deliriously happy, his one fated female is suited for him - the goddess Saroya of divine death, currently residing in Ellie Peirce. But this stupid human peasant always gets in the way of his Endgame, always tries to kill herself and, with that, end the goddess… He has to end her soul. Doesn’t he?

- Trehan Cristian Daciano, Prince of Dacia, Last Scion of the House of Shadow & Princess Bettina of Abbadon, Kingdom of the Deathly Ones

Princess Bettina of the Deathly Ones is so screwed - tied to a tournament where more than two hundred suitors will fight for the crown, with Bettina’s hand and summoning amulet as extras. Only one of them survives. Bettina wants only one of them to win. And only one of them actually wants her heart. Unfortunately, they aren’t the same person…

- Uilleam Andriu MacRieve, chieftain of the Nova Scotia Settlement of Clan MacRieve & Chloe Todd a.k.a. Olympic hopeful, unwitting immortal

He wants to die. After his centuries’ old mistake, Uilleam MacRieve is twisted. But before he can kill himself, his torturer’s daughter is found and sold at an auction… where he finds out she’s his mate. But Chloe's the one thing he can never accept, the one thing he'll always hate - and will never let go. Which might just get her killed...

- Thronos Talos, Knight of Reckoning, Heir to the Skye & Melanthe of the Deie Sorceri, Queen of Persuasion

Centuries ago, Melanthe, Queen of Persuasion, had her power and a best friend who wanted to marry her when they grow up – despite the fact that their races are at war. Now, they have again to bury their ages long hate and become allies. Possibly even friends – with a lot of chemistry between them…

New on this blog (soon to be translated)

Mare Barrow has red blood - she's born to serve and die for the silver-blooded. But then, she nearly fries someone with lightning... an ability that's Silver. The royal family hides her in another identity, give her a prince to marry and shut her off from the outside world. Because no one may know that the hated Red are actually just as powerful as the Silver... especially not with a revolution on their doorstep. But Mare was never supposed to survive...

Killing a Fey isn't the best idea Feyre Archeron ever had. Which she has to realise when Tamlin comes to pick her up - for her crime, she has to spend her life in the Fey lands, at the Spring Court. But the lines between enemies and friends blur, and when a deadly enemy joins the party, Feyre has to set her priorities...

Feyre's life should be perfect. But Tamlin isn't like he was... and she isn't either. The Queen broke them, and they can't manage to pick up the pieces... when her supposed enemy saves her life and makes her slowly feel alive again, Feyre again has to ask herself where she stands. And the war isn't over yet...

Myst the Coveted is used being chased by hot looking immortals. But after majorly screwing Warlord vampire Nicolai Wroth, she found a more... persistend suitor. Nicolai just wanted revenge - but he can't help but fall for the valkyrie. But a belt and a few drops of blood might just ruin everything...

Lachlain has been imprissoned in the gates of hell for centuries - until his Mate unknowingly gives him the strength to break free. But Emmaline isn't at all what Lachlain wanted for in an immortal partner. She's a vampire! Of all the species - the one he hates most. Emma herself only wants to find out more about her parents, she didn't exactly need a raging werewolf chasing her. But he's just what she needs to discover her inner strength... and become the womand she was supposed to be.

And BotMA December 2016 goes to...

last but not least for this year: The BotMA for December 2016! December is actually the month of the year where you're most stressed out - it's like everybody suddenly remembers that Christmas is coming and greataunt Hilde doesn't have a gift yet. And everybody races like maniacs through way too full streets, flips at the sight of a traffic light and crowds. And at work, the chefs seem to remember that the ending of December means the official end of the year - and not all the quotas have been met, so... here it goes, you have more to do! And then, there are countless Christmas parties to organise and / or attend, - and let's not forget that Christmas is the time of peace, quiet, harmony and family, which means you actually have to get along with all the people you usually try to ignore.

But don't forget the good side to Christmas!

You get lots of food, and all the beautiful lights and decorations... the games and the music - and, of course, the gifts! And with the end of each year, a new one begins (I know, real wisdom here...) - so please don't let the end-of-the-year-blues get to you!

And never forget, your father probably didn't blow up a museum and disappeared in a glass sacrophagues...

Like the Kane's father did, which is why I devote this year's December to Sadie'd and Carter's adventures in The Red Pyramid by Rick Riordan!

Besides, Sadie's humour is just great. And I love Anubis.

I hope that you can enjoy the pre-Christmas festivities, the real deal and the New Year.

And that my grandmother doesn't find out I dedicated the Month of Christ(mas) to a trilogy about egyptian gods... (duh me).

Merry Christmas you guys, I hope that you get all the gifts you want - and have lots of time to read :p!

Seeing people no one else does is not a good sign. But when her mother is abducted and Clary herself nearly killed by a demon, shit is rolling downhill. But there's a lot more to the tiny, red headed girl than you'd think...

Clary's life has only marginally improved. Her most important issues: Her nearly-boyfriend turning out as her brother and her father collecting hordes of demons to overrun Earth. And he's after the instruments of Raziel... and the especially vulnerable Jace is very close to one.

Valentine's about to overrun Idris, but the inhabitants won't believe it. While Simon falls into wrong hands, Clary and Jace untangle the secrets in Valentine's past...

Everything's perfect - until Simon is stalked and Jace haunted, until the Jonathan phenomonen repeats itself...

Jace is gone. By choice. With evil incarnated. Clary will do everything to get him back. Literally. Everything.

Sebastian's on the roll - about to wage a war history has never seen before. While Jace is tormented by heavenly fire, the friends have to visit the plane of demons.

Elisa is a princess, chosen by God and on everyone's Christmas' wish list. When she's taken prisoner, Elisa has to grow up to be the queen she never wanted to be, learn to do magic and find her inner courage - because she's the only hope for millions of people.

Elisa is queen - and has to dodge attempts of assassinations, rescue her people from the Inviernos (again) and, just by the way, select herself a suitable husband. But she's not alone: supported by charming Tristan, her keeper, Ximena, her best friend, Mara and the commander of her personal elite and thief of her heart, Hector, she begins her next quest...

With Hector abducted and her kingdom fighting in a war both out- and inside it's borders, against friends, family and outside enemies, Elisa starts her voyage to the land of the animagi: Invierne. But what good is her magic, when she looses it?

Alex should be used to the mortal world by now, to the life she and her mother have to live. But she’s not. But then, a catastrophe happens and Alex has to run for her life… and fight her worst enemies.

Alex is pissed. After her mother was sucked dry by a daimon, Alex is forced back to the Covenant - either to be trained to become a Sentinel and hunt daimons, or to end up a drug addict who has to do whatever her masters tell her – because she wouldn’t have a will of her own. The only reason Alex doesn’t end up like that is Aiden St. Delphi, kick-ass, a fighter, her crush, and forbidden with a capital F. And when the Apollyon refuses to leave Alex alone, she knows something's definitely off...

Alex is so screwed. Not only has she broken the Breed Order by falling for Aiden, she's the second Apollyon: Meaning, if she isn't killed by the gods, Seth's going to suck dry her powers and her will the moment she turns eighteen. Plus, the Council's head wants to place her on the Elixir.

Alex is preparing for something she doesn't want - and which Seth is trying to reach as quickly as possible: Her Awakening. While other Pure's and Half's try to kill Alex, Lucian is on her and Seth's side - or so it seems. But Alex doesn't want to trust her stepfather, not to mention loose herself. What a good thing she has divine help.

Alex is not herself any more. She wants what Seth wants: In this case, making him the Godkiller. Aiden fights to get her back, because the gods would do anything to keep Seth from what he wants – even Apollo. And suddenly, Aiden sees himself forced to realise his and her every fear.

Alex is not happy. Because Alex isn't with the First, her love, her purpose of existence, her Seth. She's in a warded cell and this Aiden simply can't leave her alone! Just because of a necklace she doesn't take of? Ridiculous!

Her body nearly broken, her courage shattered, her very being damaged - not the best precondition for fighting the First - oh, not to mention a crazy god with an army of daimons, Halfs, Pures and humans. What a good thing, she has helpful gods at her sight - and a blood-thirsty titan.

All her life, Helen tried everything to hide how different she is. But then, she tries to kill a newcomer in school without any reason at all – because she's a Scion, a descendant of Greek gods. And the people she needs to kill is her only chance of getting answers…

Every night Helen travels to the world of the dead. And is tortured. If she won't begin to dream very soon, she will die. Additionally, the minor gods begin to haunt the little island and the leader of the house of Theben is said to know of her existence... And then there is this boy...

Cassandra's prophecy is almost fulfilled - the Gods are unleashed and they have to be stopped, or the world will stop existing. Helen does her best to adapt to her new powers, while her friends try everything to stop her. Helen knows, what to do. But will she have the courage and power to save her friends and family - and the rest of the world?

One day, the old vagabond and his Aunt Pol take Garion away from his old, secure world. Why do they flee, from what, why does Garion have to tag along? And since when can they do magic?

Garion must accept that his aunt in reality is Polgara the Sorceress. But he also has other things to worry about: while his little band of adventurers has grown and one of the newest members, the spoiled Imperial Princess Ce'Nedra, drives him crazy, he is captured... And there is the mysterious voice in his mind...

In order to find the last player, the Queen of the World has to be left behind, for her own good – while Garion and the others leave to bring back the Orb of Aldur, Ce'Nedra has to wait – and, even though she doesn't believe in magic, fear for the simple farm boy.

Ce'Nedra is terrified: She has to hope the mysterious and probably non-existent man shows up and marries her. And, even worse, she has to do this – and be humiliated – in front of all the kings and queens! Garion on the other hand is not a stranger - and everytime he asks aunt Pol about the future, she gets mysterious...

The show-down of the prophecies is to finally take place – but how can Garion kill a god? Far away from the front, Ce'Nedra raises an army... and the queens of the kingdoms are left to rule their people... a situation the Bear Cult wants to use.

Wardens, gargoyles and demon hunters at night, are very protective of their women. Which is the reason Jasmine is put in a golden cage with all the other girls - a cage she flees from whenever she has the choice. When her long-lost love returns to marry her, she sees her choice.

The half-gargoyle/half-demon's life is turned upside down when Roth saunters into Layla's life. He makes her question everything - were the gargoyles right to teach her to hate herself? Is she really evil? But her torn heart about herself, the demon and Zayne, her best friend, doesn't matter when someone plots to free Layla's mother - through the apocalypse.

Layla will never see Roth again. Her Warden family doesn't trust her, her abilities are changing – and she has a giant snake pet on her body. But what if she's responible for all the possessed? What if the Lilif... is really her?

A devil's triangle – what hurts the Lilif hurts Lilith hurts Layla. Plus, the girl has to find a way to fix her relationships with Roth and Zayne and find out how to exterminate the Lilif without ending up dead herself. And Roth himself has still a debt to pay...

BotMA November 2016 goes to...

... Lady Midnight by Cassandra Clare!

Because I've fallen in love with the Blackthorns...

BotMA October 2016 goes to...

... Endless Knight by Kresley Cole! Evie's development and Aric as a character are so fascinating! The story is tense... and I like how Evie is trapped in her own cleverness, how the bad guy turns into a semi-good one and the good one into a semi-bad one... This book seriously made my month, it's so tense that I had problems sleeping... staying on track in lessons... traveling with the train...

Lately corrected:

Magnus Bane is old – older than you'd think. And he'd never do anything stupid, or irresponsible, as his memoires prove – or not... These are the stories of a warlock who'd never say “no” to an adventure. And was quite at least present at several important historic events...

When Evie's hallucinations about the end of the world come true, she might have a problem. Why is all of that happening? Why is she stalked by two people called “Death” and “Devil”, why does she see this crazed kid and hears these calls in her head? Can she trust the Cajun Jack, who promises to bring her to her grandmother in exchange for plants? And, most importantly, does Evie really have to kill them all?

Lately reviwed

Regaining Jack’s trust and cementing the alliance to end the game isn’t Evie’s main problem: It’s Death. Because she simply can’t outrun the Endless Knight, and he is keen on paying her back for everything she ever did to him – but what did actually happen? And why is she drawn to the man with the touch of death?

Evie has to defeat the Lovers, once and for all. But going with both Aric and Jack makes the matter far more difficult. On top of that, Evie has to learn what it really means to be the Empress and sew the fruit of her past lives’ cruelty. And Matthew has disappeared without a trace…

Torn apart, Evie has to run from Luck itself and find her knight, if he hasn’t died as well? She has to make sense of her grandmother, who wasn’t at all what she thought… And the game is about to take a few new turns no one anticipated…

Emma Carstairs never forgot the murder of her parents and she never believed that Sebastian Morgenstern really was the cause for this – and she’s proved right when other bodies turn up. But the crime scene isn’t the only confusing thing in her life right now. Her parabatai Julian is suddenly distant, and the Blackthorns are blown into pieces when Mark comes back – and might not want to stay.

Settled with a annoyingly mysterious bodyguard, Ari has to fight for survival… and to save her friends.

Ari is utterly and completely alone - but she has lots of enemies. When she begins to dream of her grandmother and everything around her is falling to pieces, she learns three things: One: She's tired of being the hunted and the manipulated. Two: No matter how hard she tries, she can't stop caring. And three: She's going to fight for the boy she loves most.

Charlie stands for trial but still isn’t even thinking about giving up on his revenge. The old rumours about Ari and her mother resurface, while the White King tries to get the young would-be huntress to do his bidding. But Ari herself has so many questions. While the dreams about Lilif cease to stop, her brother Asmodeus develops an unhealthy interest... There's only one good thing in Ari’s life right now. And that is about to be taken away from her...

Charlie is irrevocably insane. Asmodeus, the lieutenant of Azazil, stalks her dreams. And Ari is pissed. Since she's no longer the Seal, old enemies resurface and a wish frees her worst enemy. To stop her, Ari has to ally with Asmodeus... And he swears revenge for making him fight his twin.

BotMA September 2016 goes to...

the BotMA of this month is overdue. And tarakin has asked for Dragons of Autumn Twilight. This was one of the first Fantasy books ever, and one of the first (if not the first) books in which there is a story about balance instead of Good vs. Evil, with characters with valid mistakes and dark sides. And it's one of the first books about RPGs.

Plus, we have autumn. Well, not by calendar... or the weather. But there are christmas sweets in the stores already, so who cares, right?

Out of the reasons above the BotMA goes to Dragons of Autumn Twilight by Weis Hickman, even though I've neither translated nor corrected the article yet. But I will.

Lately reviewed & BotMA!

My BotMA for July 2016 goes to the first book which I have reviewed in German and English: First Frost by Sarah Addison Allen. If you read the article, you'll probably realise that I've fallen for the book pretty badly. This beautiful fantasy, which makes you (at least for a short period of time) wonder whether or not their might be a half-hidden, discreet kind of magic outside of books and movies. But the story of Bay, Sydney and Claire isn't solely about magic, but rather about day-to-day problems and catastrophs that you and I could have as well. Loving someone, who goes the wrong way, and the difficulties you have when you realise you have to let that person make his/her own decision. Doubting everything about yourself and feeling like you have made the wrong choices and aren't where you're supposed to be. This book - which has no black-and-white, but all shades of grey - is just about that. And the solution isn't magic, but following your heart and going to the people you love. That's why First Frost (German) has earned my BotMA for this month.

Lately reviewed & corrected:

I have reviewed the 6th part of the Black Dagger series Lover Enshrined and I have corrected the whole series - just that you stay up-to-date.

Additionally, I have corrected the  House of Night  series by J.R. Ward and the Fallen series by Lauren Kate. You can find the German editions, too (House of Night, Engelsnacht)

Changes!

A blog is like a household: You always have something to do. Right now I'm changing my baby again. So... I'm deleting most of the subpages. The "Lately Reviewed" & "New Books" will be deleted - the stuff that's usually on it will move to this page.

Additionally, you can find the books by genre now on the subpages of the "Review" section. I have "Fantasy" with SP "Other Worlds", "Future" (you can find both Science Fiction and Dystopian Novels in this category, it has nothing to do with whether or not it plays in the future). I used this name because it fits nicely to "Past" for the historical & classic books. Then I have "Romance" with the subpage "Adult" and I have "Children".

BotMA June 2016...

... is late again. Sorry.

However, this time the BotMA will go to... Scorched Skies by Samantha Young! The reason is that I enjoy this easy, funny and just adoring relationship between Ari and Jai. Contrary to many series, this isn't a doomed love - everytime they're together they a) fight due to secrets or b) other stuff happens - like, I don't know, the soul is eaten by a wardrobe or something like that. Sure, Jai and Ari fight - a lot. But never THAT much. This is a functioning, beautiful relationship. Besides, I love Ari's strength and how she changed from someone who desperately wants to be loved and to fit in to someone who will fight for what she loves - and what's right. She doesn't care about her boys' problems any more but makes a clear cut when she's treated badly. I love this! Additionally, Jai's and Charly's development is really well done, too. Charly and his thirst for revenge as well as Jai and how he struggles with his father. I LOVE this book!

BotMA May 2016 goes to...

Okay, anyone who checked out this blog and my fan-girl-book-crazy posts about JLA's books in general (4 times BotMA!!) and the Luxen Series and Daemon in particular, knew this would be coming. Yeah, I'm kind of predictable sometimes... but I just love the series, Daemon, the books, Daemon... nah, just making fun, I'm not that crazy. Oblivion, JLA's latest book from the series, which contains the first 3(!!!) books from Daemon's PoV (double !!!), is just awesome. Even though you knew the story, it was immensely funny and tense. It's interesting how much Daemon liked Katy in the beginning, and why he was a douche - and it was so cute how he defended her from Andrew and Ash, even when he didn't realise how he felt. Additionally, it's fascinating to see Katy from his PoV. She's so strong and, being book-crazy myself, I totally identify with her - she's kind of my book idol. Honest towards herself, loving, loyal to a fault, a person full of principles, non-judgemental and with more courage and kindness in her little finger than most have in their whole body. And yes, this is totally from Cinderella. Glad you noticed. However, Katy's still not anywhere near perfect: She's too headstrong, too (self-)sacrificing and too trusting. That makes her very real and, well adorable. As for Daemon: He's a douche sometimes, but it's like a shell. He's incredibly deep, and this shows very much in Oblivion.

So, as you can see (especially if consider the length of this book), Oblivion accompanied me through this month. Especially because of one of the elemental questions in the latter part of the series: What do you want of live and how much are you going to give to get it? And since I'm in that phasis right now, that's an issue for me as well.

Well. To put everything into a nutshell: The book's awesome and deserves it. So a BotMA for Oblivion! If you wanna read more, click on the cover.

I hope you enjoy the lyric videos for songs of Beth Crowley about Harry Potter, Divergent, City of Bones, City of Lost Souls and Clockwork Princess. As already mentioned, feel free to contact me and send me your fan stuff about books you love. I'll publish it here (with names, links and whatnot), even if I do not know the book it's about.

Treat

Here we go: I have promised you a treat, and a treat is what you get. This is a lyric video to Warrior by Beth Crowley, a song inspired by The Mortal Instruments by Cassandra Clare.

And because I am really really late, you get another treat: A lyric video to Pretend it's home by Beth Crowley, inspired by Divergent by Veronica Roth.

I did it myself, so...

Hope you like it!

Since I spend so much of my recent time on these videos (I mean, I don't have time to read and rate properly, never mind write, since I've got A-Levels to study for... but I spent time on this! Yay logic - I probably should set my priorities straight.) I will at some point creat a subpage on my blog for Fan stuff. So, if you have drawings, paintings, pictures, fan fiction, music, poetry or something else, you can send it to me and I'll publish it here. I will also give the

BoTMA for March 2016

to City of Bones by Cassandra Clare because of the video. Besides, I had to think about City of Heavenly Fire recently, due to the Lady Midnight release - I haven't read it yet and will not do so until all books are out. Additionally, I found Clary's strength, world view, problems and obviously her attitude towards school very inspiring.

I will give the

BotMA for April 2016

as well: Take an educated guess to which book. Yep! Insurgent (since Divergent already got one)! Seriously, video or no video, I love Tris and how she struggles with her guilty consciousness, the things she has to do. She's a good person and a really strong and brave one as well. This is, in fact, actually inspiring when you write your exams: Tris managed to survive the death serum, than I will survive chemistry as well, won't I? Okay. I hope I don't get sniped afterwards...

I'm late

So sorry guys, but with the A Levels & stuff I've so much to do! But I promise, I won't forget the BotMA for March and I will give you a treat - just as soon as I know how the hell internet works... Long live technology. I must admit that, concerning me, the clichés about girls and techniology are true.

BotMA February 2016 goes to...

... The Constant Princess by Philippa Gregory! The courage and determination of Catalina as well as of her mother are inspiring. As is the fact that Catalina still questions herself. She's immensely strong, even strong enough to really be honest with herself and give everything for a deathbed promise. That's immensely impressive. This is why I give this a BotMA.

And BotMA January 2016 goes to...

... The Lady of the Rivers by Philippa Gregory! Jaquetta of Luxembourg is a woman who made the best out of her situation. Even when it seemed impossible and dangerous she stayed true to herself and realised her dreams, no matter what people think of her. Additionally, she's also the most one of the important woman in her time and what she could do with her influence, she used for good.

Her story's the winner of this month's BotMA because I heard her story as an audio book twice (and it's over 20 hours, that seriously takes time) and it's still not boring, but inspiring. Additionally, I like Richard and, as funny as that sounds, Queen Margaret. She's a fascinating character, even if she's cruel. I continue reading/listening to the Cousins' War series and I will soon write the reviews for 2 and 6 - this time, I'll read/listen in the right order.

Hopefully, I'll have more time reviewing next month. But honestly, I doubt it.

BotMA December 2015

Happy New Year Guys!

Sorry, I'm late again, I know! But I kind of had other things on my mind. My teachers promptly remembered they have to give us grades and that there are exams to be written and then the presents and festivities and not to mention a flu... bleurk. Literally.

So, but now I can give the Book of the Month Award. And it goes to... Half Blood by Jennifer L. Armentrout. Mainly because I discovered a beautiful Christmas Special with Aiden and Alex on her website which made me swoon and start to read the series – again. Additionally, Alex is always a good ideal in times where you have to pick up you big-girl-panties and kick some ass – or exams.
